CHANGE – Starting Monday January 8th if you DO NOT have a RFID tag or need to add additional customers to your tag.  You will get in line and NOT go to the Grey Building at Gate 3   Instead you will call BEFORE you get to the check in and talk to Bobby at 641-969-3721 Kellie at 641-969-3549. Someone will then bring your RFID tag out to your truck when you are line.

Market Commentary 5/14/2024

The Biden administration today did NOT include used cooking oil from China as a part of a new round of tariffs. This was contrary to what the market expected which brought back bearish undertones into beans, corn, and wheat as momentum turned bearish on the day. Soybean oil was down almost -4% on the day while corn was down about -2% and corn -1%. Soybeans unexpectedly held the most strength of the 3 today, finishing down 5 cents, supported by soybean meal gains. CONAB also released estimates for Brazil corn/soy crop which were slightly higher than last month’s estimates, this helped suppress corn and beans today. Farmers are slugging in the crop when they can, even in less-than-ideal conditions. Inflation numbers come out tomorrow morning before market open, this could be a macro market mover!
